We can't wait to meet you!

The Parents-to-be!
Our first cousin Jon will become a first time father any day now to a handsome little baby boy named Charlie, and we are so excited about it!  We planned Jon and wife Andi a baby shower almost one month ago.  It was a Star-Trek baby shower. Yes, you heard us right! A Star-Trek baby shower.  We had a blast planning the big event and we're blessed with tons of help from our huge family.  Event planning is one of the things we enjoy most.  We decorated the tables with canvas bags full of baby items (diapers, wipes, pacifiers, etc.) so they wouldn't only be decorations but also gifts.  We had lots of food along with cake and punch, played a few games and watched the amazing couple as they lit up while opening all the essential gifts that will help Charlie to enjoy every second of his tiny little baby life.

Charlie, if you can hear me, you can come out now! We want to meet you.

Here are a few more pictures from the shower:

Cake Decorating 101: Dycusburg Division

With our Masterpieces
Our First Cake with Fondant
Our Second Cake with Buttercream only

Well folks, Friday Night Craft Night has rolled around once again! We were super excited about it too.  Since the last, we've been planning on trying or hand at a little cake decorating. We bought fondant, a decorating kit, Betty's white mix and all of the ingredients to make homemade buttercream frosting.  Here are a few photos. Hope you enjoy! We did.

Pins and Needles Original...

Laundry Detergent lined up at Thelma's. This is what we do on friday nights. We've gotten up to 30 gallons made in about 45 minutes and this year we gave half gallons to all of our family for Christmas.

Chocolate Lip Gloss

Here is one of our first crafts, besides the Laundry Detergent.

Peppermint Scrub

Here is one of our "cheap & easy" crafts. We got the recipe from another crafter friend who sometimes joins us for Friday Night Craft Night.
